The watermill is located in a beautiful, quiet vacation region, just south of the Dordogne. The landscape is still pure and unspoilt. With its green hills, cypresses, fruit trees, endless sunflower fields and bastide villages, it is sometimes called the “Tuscany of France”.

The region is great for hiking, biking, golf, horse riding or sightseeing. During the summer each village host its own “brocante”, “vide grenier” or “marché nocturne”, where you can dine at long tables and listen to live music.

The inhabitants of the Quercy are known as the happiest people of France and they are very friendly and helpful.

The village of Beauville is approximately 3 kilometres from our mill. From the early morning on you can buy fresh croissants and baguettes at the local bakery. There is a small supermarket for basic shopping items and at the “hotel du Midi” you can have drinks in a setting of past times.

At 10 minutes drive you will find a well equipped supermarket in the village called : Laroque -Timbaut

The nearest by larger town is Agen at a 20-minute ride.  Nice for fun shopping, large grocery shopping and wining and dining.
